Pop-Up Shop Sligo
Spice moving to Sligo came about when Gracie found herself yet again displaced, needing somewhere to live and to run spice was next to impossible. So she decided to purchase a shop space and a home above it and that's what led her to her perfect space in the beautiful Sligo town.
Why Sligo?
Gracie and her boyfriend love to surf so sligo was the only place for them. Sligo is also a wonderful town, the people are so friendly and not to mention the endless beaches, hikes, nature and everything in between. Since moving to Sligo Gracie has experienced endless kindness from the locals and a true sense of home. Sligo is exactly where Spice needs to be for this next exciting chapter.

The renovation?
If you have not seen Spice's instagram then you wouldn't have seen the months of work Gracie, her boyfriend and her Dad have poured into the shop space to bring it back to life. Gracie and her helpers have been working around the clock to bring this space the "spice effect" to be a true reflection of everything Spice embodies. Everything for the space is second hand, repurposed and reused materials as much as possible as part of a core value that Gracie didn't want to compromise on. Gracie also incorporated pieces from her shop in Limerick to make up this space and honestly it's exceeded everything's expectations of what's possible and we are thrilled with how the space has turned out. Spice has always been about working hard at what you love to make your dreams come true and this space is a testament to that.
The shop space?
The shop space is Gracies greatest joy, a space to finally run spice's online business from and then also a place to open to the public as a vintage shop for day events. A truly unique concept in Ireland but one that spoke to Gracie on many levels. As most of you know, Gracie had two shops for spice before she was forced to close due to covid 19 in 2022. Gracie then launched this website and since then spice has truly gone from strength to strength so much so that Gracie couldn't re-open the shop she closed in Limerick because thte demand for Spice's website was so high she couldn't run both (as you know Spice is a one woman show). Since then, Gracuie has been paving the way for Spice to do things on its own terms and in its own way that truly speaks to Spice's ethos and values. That's why one day open days in Spice's new studio is exactly what spice is all about, making vintage shopping exciting, fun and worthy of its own day of celebration. We are so excited to welcome you all into the space on the 18th of July.

The pop up shop:
SPICE'S POP UP SHOP IN ITS NEW STUDIO IS THE 18TH OF JULY 2026 10-6PM 6 MARKET STREET SLIGO TOWN. Were so excited to host our first pop up in our new space, a day of celebration as it is also Spice's 9th birthday. It seems poetic almost to open o the exact day back in 2017 that Gracie opened Spice as a pop up shop, 25 years old and no idea of what an amazing wonderful ride was ahead of her. Thank you for being here, Spice is so special and its made to be by all of our wonderful customers who support Spice and have done for nearly a decade. See you all at the first pop up shop <3
